Eat This Bahamut

Ever since I got my Drk to 75, I never got to use it in a real "Souleater Zerg". So I was excited when we got to do Bahamut V2 BC.

We went a toal of two times. First time was the standard with four songs and haste, then Souleater and Bloodweapon on Bahamut. That one went down pretty fast without trouble. Sinced we had used up 2hr on the first fight I though it was over, but the leader said we were going again, this time without Bloodweapon, with the Whm spamming cures and Benediction if needed. This one took slightly longer than the first with one or two unfortunate deaths, but Bahamut went down in the end.

We got Bahamut Mask and Staff from our two BCs. Both nice pieces for PLD and SMN respectively.

Though I did well, but my Drk is far from perfect and still needs some improvemets, but I am running out of space as it is, if only they gave use more storage space.....

Wings Of An Angel

New update gave us Ufail (Uriel) Blade , campaign only WS from a sword purchased with allied notes, a wooping 150,000 AN. It was reported duing Fan Fest that these campaign only weaponskill were too powerful that it was not allowed to be used outside campaign, something we all wanted to se for ourselves.

I got to say it lived up to its name Ufail Blade. I did a wooping 80 dmg with the weaponskill. Only rarely did I ever saw it hit 200 dmg. But it does generate alot of enmity, and who doesn't want Angel wings for a weaponskill.

Now who do I stick this blade into for a refund.....

Doubletaru Trouble

You know its bad when there are suddenly two doctor Shantotto, worst if they are bend on taking over the world.

With that said, I recently completed my final BC for this mission for my pants for my Rdm idle set.

Like the other two add-on Missions, this one is just as annoying as the other two. The final fight though was abit more fun as you get to fight two Shantotto. If you think the odds were stacked against us, you were right, but we had some help, sixteen Hexes to collect to get buffs for the fight to even things out with the twin dominitrixes.

We went with a full TP burn setup and just went all out on one shantotto while the brd kited the other. We didn't get much trouble other than one member's death.

The final CS for the mission is by far the best and LOL CS I have ever seen in the game. A must see for anyone wanting a good laugh and good old Shantotto never fails to make you LOL.

I would watch it over again, but Den of Rancor is one annoying place to get to...

Excuse Me, You're In My Face !

Recently I've been invited to join a HNMLS xJOKERSx , they are quite a good team of players with many relics/mythic among them.

Well, one day as I was wandering around, I got a message from linkshell chat that Khimera had popped and was up unclaimed. I pulled out my warp scroll and started running toward Caedarva Mire.

Khimera is one of those HNM that is a pain to get to as you have ot run tru alot of true-sound VT-ish monsters like flayers and imps, aggro en-route to camp is very common, resulting in having to make it as far as you can to camp before dying, and getting a raise.

But today I actually managed to MGS (Metal Gear Solid), a term I used to dodge pass those monsters, and made it to camp without aggro.

It was my first time tanking Khimera and together with a Rdm/Nin, a Brd and Rdm, we managed to hold it till other members got here. I didn't have to tank long as Ryuta had just logged in and he came over as Pld to take over the tankign job as he has Aegis and Excalibur, leaving me to change job.

I got to say, Khimera hits pretty damn fast without debuffs, but it was fun and exciting to be able to tank a HNM like that.

I guess I got alot more work to put into my Pld if I want to tank anything outside "lolCampaign".

Blood Soaked Hat

Been a busy pass month and a half and I'm sorry for the lack of updates. But don't worry, majour update incoming.

As you can tell from the title and picture, after coutless sacrifices, countless laying face down in dynamis, it finally dropped. My Rdm AF2 hat !

Funny part of it all was, it didn't drop from the Rdm NM in dynamis but from the Kindred Ninja that we killed just before the NM.... Lol.

It was, I woudl say, rather unexpected and unbelieveable when I saw it drop. And since every other person who could use it alreayd had it, it by default went to me, although I had always done dynamis with my friends just for fun, never thinking much about the items.

I got to say, it really does live up to its name "pimp hat".

Please Sir, Can I have Some Morr?

Considering my luck, or rather lack of, I never though the day I would actually complete the Morrigan robe set.

When I joined my salvage group, I was only thinking of just completing my Morrigan's robe and considering the crappy drop rate of salvage, I never expected I could actually complete the robe itself, let alone the whole set.

But I guess after spending so much time ( and Exp ) in salvage, one would eventually get there.

It actually took me ten months to get the complete set. In this order:

Morrigan's Robe
Morrigan's Slopes
Morrigan's Pigaches
Morrigan's Cuffs
Morrigan's Coron

Of the five pieces, I think the feet was the rarest of them as it took alot of tries to get the NM to drop it.

Sadly, it looks so much better on my mannequin than it looks on me as my hair covers most of the Coron.

My Name's Not Timmy !

I bet that's what Tiamat always say whenever I call her that.

So I happened to check Attohwa Chasm last night, and found quite a few familiar names there, most likely camping Tiamat, so I send a tell to a friend there asking if she poped or not. He said CLAN had claimed but had wiped and his LS was {Fighting right now!}, so I noticed they were rather low on members and asked if they needed help. He said ok so I geared up Blm and headed over. But its a rather long way to have to walk to Tiamat.

Town > Teleport-Mea > Tahrongi Canyon > Maze of Shakhami > Attohwa Chasm

But I had a secret weapon... well it's not really a weapon, but a cape. Nexus Cape ! Nexus cape teleports you to your current PT leader's location ragardless where you are, provided the PT leader is in one of the specified zoned the Nexus cape can teleport you to, which, Attohwa Chasm is one of them.

But now you have a problem, I wasn't in the PT in the first place and since Tahrongi and Attowha is in different regions which means they are unable to invite me for me to use my cape. Aha ! But all's not lose cause Meriphataud Mountains is the same region as Attohwa, and I just used the outpost warp to Meriphataud and got invited into the PT and poof it became coacoapuff .... er... I mean I teleported to Attohwa.
Well now that I am at Tiamat, its time to fight! Its been a while since I fought her with Resurrection LS, but then my Blm wasn't geared well at all and like 90% of my nukes were resisted to the crappy dmg like 80ish.

Today, however since I have upgraded my Blm gears, my nukes were mostly unresisted doing on average 500ish dmg, which was nice to see on something like Tiamat. With only a few Blm nuking non stop when Tiamat takes to the air, Tiamat took sometime to kill, with the Blms having to "hold back" abit near the end as we kept pulling hate and getting drawn in.

In the end we killed Tiamat, but all she dropped was ONE FIRE CRYSTAL for all our effort. Oh well, better luck next time. But I got to say, even though we got nothing today, I was quite happy that my Blm has improved and is able to take on Tiamat.

Hourglass Of Die-Na-Miss

Recently a few of my friends and I have been low-manning dynamis zones.

We tried a melee set-up of about seven people in our first Dyna-Beau but it ended badly as there was not enought sleeps and heals. We tried again the next time with a Blm PT and we actually did much better. We did get a few AF2 in that run, which I cant not remember at this time.

We've done Dyna-Xarc with War War Sam Whm Brd Rdm Blm Blm setup before as the Xarc NMs cannot be slept. We usually go for the RDM, PLD, THF, BLM NMs then farm the other demons inside. We usually manage to afrm most of the NMs and the other demons without any major problems, although wipes are sometimes common due to bad pathing by the demons causing it to link with even more.

Alas sadly still no Rdm AF2 hat yet. (T.T )

But low-manning is rather fun, but hard on your Exp Bar ( As you can see from the screenshot ) lol....
